10 Reasons to Adopt Eclipse Theia

Theia is a modern and open platform for developing cloud and desktop IDEs and tools based on web technologies. I wrote in September about a number, 10 specifically, of great reasons to adopt Theia as a base for your cloud-based or brower-based IDE needs.

Eclipse Theia End-to-End Test Suite

With possibly the 11th great reason to adopt Eclipse Theia, our protagonists at EclipseSource announced the Eclipse Theia End-to-End Test Suite. The test suite provides adopters the ability to run tests on the latest versions of Eclipse Theia. Contributions are welcome from all adopters, potential adopters, or anyone with a desire to contribute and a good test. Our goal is a test suite we can use to help ensure a smooth path for adopters as we evolve Eclipse Theia

By adding tests, adopters are enabled to detect regressions or significant changes of Theia that are relevant to their Theia-based products as early as possible in the process of adopting new Theia versions. All adopters are invited to contribute to it and benefit from this joint effort!
