The Eclipse Cloud DevTools contributor award for this month goes to STMicroelectronics for initiating the Theia Community Release. The community release is a new, special type of release done every three months in addition to the monthly releases.

Eclipse Foundation is proposing a working group for the Open VSX Registry. A call for interested organizations is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, at 11:00 AM EDT. The call will be recorded and posted to the, soon to be live, working group mailing list.

We’re working on a new funding and governance model for https://open-vsx.org/ that will be more sustainable in the long term. The basic structure will be an Eclipse Foundation working group, with an option to sponsor only and not participate in the governance and management of the deployment.
