The Eclipse Cloud Developer Tools contributor award for July goes to Mark Sujew at TypeFox for his continuous, strategic and valuable contributions to Eclipse Theia, including recently for example, his contributions to enable remote SSH support for Eclipse Theia!
Mark has been working on Eclipse Theia since 2021 and he has become one of the core committers in the project. Mark is technically very knowledgeable and has a great overview of the Theia code base. This enables him to regularly contribute strategic features, such as the internationalization support and, recently, the support for remote SSH.
Besides technical skills, Mark is also a great community member. He regularly joins the weekly developer calls and actively participates in discussions and decision making. Mark has an opinion about key questions and expresses his valuable thoughts. He always has a view for the global health of the Theia ecosystem and often contributes to general improvements. Last but not least, Mark is an active and accurate reviewer, which contributes to the overall quality of Eclipse Theia.
Of course, great technologies such as Eclipse Theia depend on many contributors and we are pleased to have a very active and diverse ecosystem in the project. However, it is also important to recognize single developers who make a difference and Mark is definitely one of them. Thanks and congratulations, Mark!
