Welcome Sara! Eclipse Software Defined Vehicle's New Program Manager

Sunday, October 16, 2022 - 15:54 by Paul Buck

I am pleased to share the good news that Sara Gallian has joined the Eclipse Foundation as the Program Manager for Eclipse Software Defined Vehicle (SDV). SDV provides a forum for individuals and organizations to build and promote open source software, specifications, and open collaboration models needed to create a scalable, modular, extensible, industry-ready open source licensed vehicle software platform to support in-vehicle and around the vehicle applications development and deployment

As Program Manager, Sara will work with the SDV working group’s Steering Committee to define and execute the global strategy for SDV at the Eclipse Foundation.

Sara is currently based in Bologna, Italy, and has a depth of experience in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) in Germany and Italy. She joins the Eclipse Foundation from her position as Engineering Group Manager for Intelligent Mobility at FEV Italia. She is a certified scrum master and is experienced in working in a Scaled Agile environment (SAFe). Sara has a PhD in electrical engineering and information technology from Ruhr Universität Bochum, Germany.

Please join me in welcoming and congratulating Sara on taking on this new role in the SDV community!
