As Adoptium Community Manager at the Eclipse Foundation, I am beyond thrilled to share some incredible news with all of you: in the month of February, Eclipse Temurin soared past a monumental milestone, achieving over 20 million monthly downloads! This achievement was made possible because of the support and dedication of each and every member of our thriving community.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
Reaching 20 million monthly downloads is no small feat. It represents not only the widespread adoption of Adoptium's technology but also the trust and confidence that the community has placed in us.
Part of this success, which has resulted in more than 339 million downloads in total, is based on the hard work done by the team to guarantee quality, scalability, performance, and a secure software supply chain. Having our vendor-neutral and enterprise-ready Java runtime Eclipse Temurin as part of some automated services such as GitHub actions, Jenkins, and Atlassian has helped to spread the technologies to more companies and adopters. If you or your company use those services, we are sure you are part of this trend.
With this milestone achievement, I want to invite the community of contributors and committers to celebrate. It has been a long ride to get here, and we are now facing some new release work and daily activities that do not allow us to enjoy the moment fully.
