Next week at JavaOne will be a busy week for the Eclipse community. If you are planning to attend the conference, I hope you can drop by the Eclipse booth.
We will be demoing 9 different Eclipse projects, including BIRT, TPTP, VE, MTJ, Dali, ALF, WTP, JDT and RCP. We will have two demo stations, so each project will be rotating through for two hour blocks. Drop by to meet some of the committers of these projects and learn about what is coming up in the next release. Thanks to all the committers for volunteering your time to be in the booth.
For those of you into free swag, we will be giving away free Eclipse shirts. (Thanks to Nathan for modeling the 2006 version.) Of course you will have to work for it. To get your shirt, we are organizing a passport game that requires you to visit at least 7 of the 15 participating Eclipse member companies, including Actuate, Adobe, Agitar, BEA, Borland, Business Objects, Codign, Compuware, Exadel, Fawcette, IBM, Ivis, Sybase, Nokia and Oracle. Drop by the Eclipse booth to get the passport and then start collecting the stamps.
Finally, don’t forget the Eclipse party at the Thirsty Bear on Wednesday evening. Remember to send an RSVP to thirstybear@eclipse.org.
