There's never a dull moment with Jakarta EE! The second Jakarta Newsletter of the year is out and it takes the pulse of the progress the Jakarta community has made so far. This issue offers a sneak peek at the future of Jakarta EE, the impending Jakarta EE 8 release and presents some thoughts on the use of Java trademarks and the javax namespace, and how the current challenges can be transformed into opportunities.
You'll also have the chance to read about Quarkus, a next-generation Kubernetes native Java framework, learn how to easily migrate from your favorite Java EE server to an Eclipse MicroProfile implementation and discover how MicroProfile Rest Client 1.2 improves integration with other MicroProfile technologies.
This newsletter issue wouldn't be complete without a quick overview of the results of the 2019 Jakarta EE developer survey, which canvassed nearly 1,800 Java developers about trends in enterprise Java programming and their adoption of cloud native technologies. The findings indicate that cloud native is critically important with a third of developers currently building cloud native architectures and another 30 percent planning to within the next year. You can access the full findings of the 2019 Jakarta EE Developer Survey here.
I hope I made you curious enough to check out the May issue of the Jakarta Newsletter.
