EclipseCon starts in just over 2 weeks. There are tons of great sessions and speakers but the one speaker I am really excited to hear is Clay Shirky. I am a keen observer of community building, social networks, social media and new ways of marketing/communicating. Clay Shirky produces some of the best thinking and material in this area.
For instance, today I ran across this article ‘Transparency is the New Marketing‘, where although he does not mention open source, it is definitely relevant to open source communities. Some other examples include this interview and his recent presentation at Web 2.0.
Like I said, there are lots of other interesting presentations, but the first keynote of Tuesday is one I won’t be missing. See you in two weeks.
