    Confusion

    Sunday, July 15, 2007 - 22:23 by Wayne Beaton
Apparently, there is some confusion about the name of the “ Mylyn” project. Let me try and clear it up. This is “Our Lynn”, the Eclipse Foundation’s Marketing Events Manager. This is “Mylyn”, the Task-Focused UI for Eclipse that reduces information overload and makes multi-tasking easy. Any questions?

One more reason to love Mylyn

I spoke last Thursday at the Java Forum Stuttgart. This is a show that I really enjoy attending; the organization is great, the people are very nice, and Stuttgart is a nice city. I delivered two talks: one on Eclipse RCP and one on Mylyn. The RCP talk went well...

    I Ubuntu, do you?

    Thursday, July 5, 2007 - 12:07 by Wayne Beaton
I reported a little while ago about my experiences with Ubuntu. It’s time for a quick update. The short version is that I like it. I like the way that it looks and feel. I even like the OpenOffice software, though it does bizarre things once in a while (need...

    RSS Feed on Eclipse Blogs

    Tuesday, July 3, 2007 - 20:12 by Wayne Beaton
Eclipse Blogs does have an RSS feed. Unfortunately it’s hidden. I’ll try to resolve this next week by adding a fancy icons somewhere on the template (somehow, I managed to assume ownership of this sort of thing). In the meantime, tack “/feed” on the end of the URL for the...

    Argh!

    Tuesday, July 3, 2007 - 20:01 by Wayne Beaton
My laptop took a tumble this morning. They guy sitting next to me on the flight jumped up, ripped open the hatch on the overhead bins and then jumped out of the way as my laptop (in the bag) tumbled down to the floor. It hit the seat on the...

    Camping out for Europa

    Friday, June 29, 2007 - 10:55 by Wayne Beaton
At least one confused member of the Eclipse community spent an uncomfortable night camping outside the Eclipse Foundation offices in hopes of being the first to get a copy of the new fangled Eclipse packages. Unfortunately, this camper didn’t realise that we never use the front door, and it wasn’t...

    12 steps

    Thursday, June 28, 2007 - 23:01 by Wayne Beaton
My name is Wayne and I have a problem: I don’t really get IRC. That’s not to say that I don’t understand the technology. Heck, I even know a bunch of the more basic commands. I just have a really hard time keeping up with the conversations. My day is...

    New Eclipse Corner Article

    Thursday, June 28, 2007 - 21:36 by Wayne Beaton
Today, we published Miguel Garcia’s article, “ How to process OCL Abstract Syntax Trees“, on Eclipse Corner. The abstract states: The Model Development Tools Object Constraint Language (MDT OCL) project provides the building blocks for Model-Driven tools to weave OCL declarative specifications into software artifacts. We showcase some of these...

    On the road again…

    Wednesday, June 27, 2007 - 17:37 by Wayne Beaton
I’m off to Germany next week for a fun-filled week of Eclipse-based excitement. With the arrival of Europa this week, next week is sure to be a great time to out with the people. The first event is a visit on Tuesday evening to the Java User Group Cologne where...
