The programme has been announced for EclipseCon Europe 2013, and I’m in it.

I’ll be sharing the stage with my colleagues Denis Roy and Sharon Corbett to deliver the first ever Eclipse Committer Bootcamp.

Are you a new committer or project lead for an Eclipse project? Are you thinking about proposing a new open source project at Eclipse? In this tutorial, Eclipse Foundation staff members will walk you through the information that you need to know to be an effective open source project committer at Eclipse. The discussion includes an overview of the Eclipse Development Process, the Intellectual Property Due Diligence Process, and the Tools and IT Infrastructure available to Eclipse projects.

It shows up as a tutorial, but it doesn’t follow the traditional tutorial format: the set up for the exercises is easy (translation: there are none); and it’s being held in the theatre where you’ll be able to stretch out in comfy seats while you learn everything that you need to know about being a committer at Eclipse.

We’re planning some interactive activities, so participants should be prepared to ask and answer questions, and hopefully have a little fun.

The rest of the programme looks great as well. I’m darned excited to be heading to Ludwigsburg this October 29-31. There will be dancing; oh yes, there will be dancing.

I hope to see you there!
