I am happy to announce that Carmen Delgado has joined the Eclipse Foundation as the Community Manager for Adoptium. The Adoptium Working Group promotes and supports high-quality, Java TCK certified runtimes and associated technology for use across the Java™ ecosystem. Eclipse Temurin is the name of the OpenJDK distribution from Adoptium.
As Community Manager, Carmen will work within the community to project manage and coordinate with members to deliver on the working group’s priorities including broad adoption of the Eclipse Temurin Java runtime, the AQAvit quality initiative and the Adoptium Marketplace.
Carmen is currently based in Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, and very connected with Barcelona's tech ecosystem in Spain. She joins the Eclipse Foundation from her volunteer work as a co-founder of Step4ward, a women's tech mentorship initiative. Previously, she was XpertAI’s Project Management Officer and Cross-services Team Lead. She has a wealth of experience in the tech sector in project management and operations.
