EclipseCon Europe 2019: Call for Papers open until July 15 - Submit a talk today!

Tuesday, May 28, 2019 - 04:52 by Jameka Woodberry

It’s that time of year again! You can now submit your proposals to be part of EclipseCon Europe 2019’s speaker lineup. The conference takes place in Ludwigsburg, Germany on October 21 - 24, 2019. Early bird submissions are due July 1, and the final deadline is July 15.

EclipseCon Europe / OSGi Community Event encourages you to explore the latest Eclipse-related projects, collaborate with like-minded people and share your experiences with the Eclipse community. All committers, contributors, adopters, extenders, service providers, consumers, and business and research organizations are welcome to share their expertise and learn from each other.

EclipseCon Europe 2019 attendees will have the chance to meet industry experts and learn about the latest initiatives and industry working groups within the Eclipse Foundation ecosystem. This year’s main track categories include cloud native Java, tools & IDEs, Java & JDT, runtime & frameworks, web & cloud development, projects built on Eclipse technologies, IoT & Edge, open source and other cool stuff. Let’s not forget about the ultra-popular OSGi track and the sixth edition of the Project Quality Day; this year’s theme is “quality throughout development – and beyond.”

As usual, the sessions and keynotes at EclipseCon Europe are chosen by an independent program committee. However, this year the program committee has decided to create new tracks and fine-tune others, so check out the list and plan how you’ll participate!

Still not convinced this is the place to be? At a typical EclipseCon Europe event, this is what you will find:

  • Developers, product and marketing managers, executives, and academic researchers gather to share their expertise and exchange knowledge
  • Most attendees are highly skilled software developers and software architects
  • Most attendees work for companies and enterprises that build commercial products or internal tools based on Eclipse, or that use Eclipse tools to build solutions
  • Other attendees work for organizations that sell education and services for Eclipse and Eclipse-based products, or for research groups or universities that use Eclipse

If you have questions, please see the Submission FAQs or Speaker FAQs or contact us at speakers@eclipsecon.org.

We’re very excited about what’s in store for this year’s conference!
