Devoxx Morocco is a conference I always enjoy returning to. It used to be one of the last conferences of the conference season, so it was always a relaxed atmosphere among the speakers. Kind of a season finale of sorts. Nowadays, the conference season has expanded a little, so that aspect is not so apparent any longer, but the friendly, joyful atmosphere still does. It is one of the most friendly conferences on the circuit.
The food in Morocco is always amazing, so it was very convenient that Abdel organised a morning run for us on Thursday morning. A group of us carpooled to the Hassan II Mosque and ran from there to El Hank Lighthouse and back. We were a little late for the sunrise, but got a very nice run out of it.
After the conference, the speakers were invited on a trip to Rabat where we visited historic sites, the old medina, and tried the local cuisine. We even got a short boat ride out of it when we crossed the river. The following day we visited the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca.

I presented Augmenting AI with the Power of Jakarta EE to a full room on the first day of the conference. The talk goes through the basic augmentation techniques for integrating with LLMs, and is usually pretty well received since it explains the concepts visually and in code, as well as pointing out the characteristic, strenths and weaknesses with all of them.
