This was my second dev2next. Whereas the previous one was located in Colorado Springs, this one was back at it’s original location in Lone Tree. The conference has an incredible speaker-lineup, and the quality of the talks are top notch. The food served, both the breakfast and the lunch is amazing and the flow-of-the-show is flawless. The only downside, if any, is that the number of attendees does not reflect the quality of the conference. This means that with six parallel tracks, some of the sessions are not as well-attended as you may wish for. This is weighed up for by the quality of the talks, and not the least, the quality of the hallway track.

It was raining most of the time during the conference, so going outside was not very tempting. In the afternoon on the last conference day, I managed to squeeze in a #runWithJakartaEE. The day after the conference, all speakers were invited to join a trip up in the Rocky Mountains. The destination was Estes Park, where we enjoyed breakfast and lunch as well as a short hike in the park and admiring the beautiful nature and sunny weather.
And, by the way, check out the slides from my talk Augmenting AI with the Power of Jakarta EE.
