I am happy to announce that the Eclipse Foundation has welcomed Javier Valiño as the Program Manager for the Eclipse Dataspace Working Group. The Dataspace Working Group is dedicated to enabling the global adoption of dataspace technologies to foster the creation and operation of trusted data-sharing ecosystems,
As Program Manager, Javier will work with the Dataspace Working Group’s Steering Committee and ecosystem stakeholders to build and promote open source software, specifications, and collaboration models needed to create scalable, industry-ready components based on open standards for dataspaces. He will also engage directly with the Dataspace community to understand, coordinate, and facilitate the objectives and priorities of the working group.
A telecom engineer holding an MBA, Javier has extensive experience in coordinating large consortium-based R&D and commercial projects. In recent years, he has directly coordinated and participated in dataspace projects in partnership with the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) and incorporating GAIA-X concepts, such as OMEGA-X and SEDIMARK, among others. Javier is based in northern Spain.
Please join me in welcoming and congratulating Javier on taking on this new role in the Dataspace community!
